Peter DeHaan is the president and owner of Peter DeHaan Publishing Inc., where he handles day-to-day operations, serving as publisher and editor-in-chief of the corporation’s publications and websites.
Peter started writing poetry as a teen and switched to nonfiction as a young adult. He has written over 400 articles for various publications, including Connections Magazine, AnswerStat, TAS Trader, and Medical Call Center News, as well as online resources, such as ArticleWeekly.com. His recent writing interests include memoir and fiction. Peter is also a prolific blogger having written over 1,500 posts.
Peter has a PhD from Kennedy-Western University in Business Administration and later earned a second PhD from Trinity College of the Bible and Trinity Theological Seminary, awarded “with high distinction.”
In addition to numerous articles, his Haiku, “Why I Write” was a top-twenty winner for Imagine This! An ArtPrize Anthology. His personal essay, “The Seven Transformations of Peter DeHaan,” is part of The Transformation Project anthology. He is currently working on several books.
“I love to read, and I listen to podcasts every chance I get; my Kindle and iPod are valued tools,” says Peter. “I’m an eclectic movie buff who enjoys nature walks; both experiences feed my inner muse. In my idle moments, I dream of the day when pizza and popcorn are reclassified as major food groups!”
Peter and his wife live in Southwest Michigan. They have two married children, two grand puppies, and, more importantly, two amazing grandchildren.
